Professor Alan Livingston CBE was Rector of University
College Falmouth, Cornwall, from 1987 to 2009. He trained
as a graphic designer at Ulster College of Art & Design,
Belfast, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers.
He is a member of the Royal Mail Stamp Advisory Committee,
London, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Ulster. Isabella Livingston is a graphic design historian with a
specialist interest in the emergence of the British graphic
design profession during the 1950s and 1960s. She was a senior
lecturer at University College Falmouth from 1993 to 2011.
