We renew our physical stock continuously and update our online bookshop accordingly. Ordering books published in Hungary
Our General Terms and Conditions apply. For ordering information, terms of payment, and delivery options, see the section on ordering imported books (below). When you order titles in stock either in person at Atlantisz Book Island, directly through our online bookshop, or by written order, we will quote you Hungarian book prices current at the time of ordering and automatically apply any discounts that may be available at Atlantisz Book Island at the time. When ordering a book that we do not have in stock, all you need to do is to fill in a simple order form and either send it to us by mail, fax, or e-mail, or drop it in person at our bookshop. Ordering books published abroad
We import new and second-hand foreign language books from Europe and from overseas, offering a fully comprehensive and flexible service that aims to meet the highest expectations. German publishers: 3 to 4 weeks
Leading UK publishers: 4 to 6 weeks
Smaller UK publishers: 4 to 8 weeks
Other European publishers: 4 to 8 weeks
US and other publishers: 6 to 12 weeks
We take extra urgent orders; in this case only, shipping costs will be charged.
How to order
We take orders placed directly through our online bookstore or sent to us in writing.
Online bookshop: Browse our website for titles we currently have in stock. To place your order, simply put the selected books into your basket. You can either pick your books up immediately at our bookshop or have us mail them to you.
To order any other book, please fill in our simple Order Form and either send it to us through our website, by mail, fax, or e-mail, or drop it personally.

When not ordering through our website or using the Order Form you can download by clicking here, please make sure your order specifies the following data:
• The author of the book
• The title of the book
• ISBN (if known)
• The publisher (if known)
• The details of the party placing the order: name, billing address, telephone number, e-mail, delivery address (in case of delivery by mail, whenever the delivery address is not the same as the billing address)
• Your preferred method of delivery: picking up your order in person at our bookshop; cash on delivery; or, in case of large orders, delivery to your address.
Collecting your books
How to collect your order:
• Pick up your order personally at our bookshop weekdays between 10:00 and 18:00 and on Saturdays between 10:00 and 14:00;
• ask us to deliver your order against prepayment or cash on delivery; or,
Our prices
If you order books not currently in stock, once we have received your order, we will send you a preliminary price quotation as soon as possible. If you accept our quote, please confirm your order.
What will be the price of the book ordered?
In the case of imported books, the price will be the publisher’s catalogue price as converted into Hungarian forints at the day’s selling rate of exchange + VAT (5% in the case of books; 27% in the case of CDs and other publications).
If you pick up your order in person, we will not charge you any shipping costs.
Prices may vary somewhat because of changes in the publishers’ catalogue prices and exchange rate fluctuations.
When ordering books not currently in stock, private clients are required to pay an advance of 30% of the expected total order value. When paying the advance, please tell us if you need a tax invoice showing your details and the VAT paid.
Advance payment can be made in person at our bookshop, by payment order at any Hungarian post office, or by bank transfer into our bank account given below.
Terms of payment
Private clients can pay through our website, cash or card in person at Atlantisz Book Island, cash on delivery, or by prepayment. The goods shall remain the property of Atlantisz Publishing House Ltd. until full payment is made by the client.
